The mandate of IC Potash is potash and potash-related mineral exploration in North America and internationally. ICP holds interests in federal prospecting permit applications for sub-surface potash rights in the states of Utah, Colorado and New Mexico and prospecting permits in New Mexico through its wholly-owned subsidiary Intercontinental Potash Corp. (USA).
ICP has established the following business strategy:
- explore for and develop potassium fertilizer minerals in the Southwest United States with particular emphasis on polyhalite, including in the near term, completion of phases one and two of the recommended program in the 43-101 Report;
- develop plans to support marketing polyhalite to both the potassium sulphate and non-chloride markets, and also the broader potash markets of China, India, and Brazil;
- conduct field testing in support of existing agricultural research and in furtherance of establishing a market for direct application polyhalite as a multi-nutrient potash; and
- conduct further work studying the most effective manner of converting polyhalite into Sulphate of Potash.
